Rakes & Instrumented Parts
Using the full potential of additive manufacturing, Vectoflow develops rakes and instrumented parts such as vanes or nozzles with integrated flow measurement technology. Each part is validated through comprehensive mechanical and aerodynamic testing and jointly developed with our customers to create solutions precisely tailored to their applications.

Product Types
Tailored Rake Solutions
Vectoflow’s rake systems combine multiple measuring heads into a single probe assembly, enabling the simultaneous capture of flow parameters at several positions.
Versions:
- Smart Rakes with integrated pressure or temperature sensors
- Kiel Rakes performance measurements
- Boundary Layer Rakes for flow investigation in the inlet
- Bypass Kiel Rakes to measure total pressure distribution inside the engine bypass
- Combined Probe & Temperature Rakes
- Combined 5-hole Probe and Total Temperature Rakes to measure flow angles and inlet distortion
- Engine Inlet Rake
Instrumented Stator Vane Solutions
Stator vanes with built-in measurement heads allow for detailed pressure and flow angle measurements between compressor or turbine stages.
Integrated Nozzle Solutions
Nozzles are equipped with pressure and temperature sensors to measure inlet and outlet flow conditions with minimal flow disturbance.
Customization
Depending on the application, components can be customized with the following:
• Multi-hole probe heads
• Pitot-static heads
• Kiel heads (total pressure / total temperature)
• Static pressure taps / rings
• Temperature sensors

requestOur Assurance Process
All our components are designed and manufactured to combine the benefits of additive manufacturing (AM) with the highest standards of mechanical integrity, aerodynamic accuracy, and qualification. While AM enables unmatched design freedom and functional integration, every component undergoes a rigorous verification and validation process to ensure it performs safely and reliably in demanding test environments.
1. Design Expertise
Advanced structural design for maximum mechanical and dynamic strength. AM allows for optimized internal geometries, enabling lightweight yet robust components tailored to specific load and flow conditions.

2. Simulation (FEM Analysis)
Finite Element simulations validate mechanical behavior and verify the design before production.

3. Certified Manufacturing
Produced under EN 9100 (7003) / AMS7003 standards, with material validation through test samples (tensile, hardness, and other material tests)

4. Qualification & Verification
Comprehensive testing of mechanical (vibration, shock, static load, crack propagation), aerodynamic, and thermal properties (temperature calibration). When delivered with a Vectoflow DAQ or integrated pressure sensors, we also perform pressure sensor calibration.

5. ISO 17025-Accredited Calibration
Final calibration in our accredited wind tunnel for velocity, flow angle, total and static pressure. Dynamic temperature calibrations can be carried out as well.
